It all started in 1991 with 12 employees with a unit for making sachets used for packing oral re hydration powders by the pharmaceutical industry. In the midst of my quest it dawned on me that packaging is virtually recession proof. Simply put, a product needs a package to sell it .Optimum packaging is multifaceted, essential attributes being protection, barrier, convenience, cost savings in material, storage, transport and raw material consumption, more per pack, introduction of smaller units, conservation of energy, important in lifestyles , brand building. Thus began the journey in to the field of providing end to end packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical sector.

At the onset, customers were difficult to come by. Backed by a small, young, inexperienced but enthusiastic and committed team, our enterprise hit the road in true earnest. Not backed by a family name, history or brand, scouting for customers and orders was in deed a difficult task. If today I profess that in my scheme of things, customer holds the pride of place, it would be an understatement. Our business partners have been our pillars of strength and it is this attitude and dedication which helped charter the course. Once we were provided with an opportunity, however small, I felt that it was our bounden duty to exceed expectations

Absolute customer and market focus, both in word and deed, alignment with and dedication to the pharmaceutical industry gradually paved the way for increasing number of clients, volume and turn over. One satisfied business house led to the next as our reputation continued to grow. We treated our strategic partners as unique entities who had come to depend on us - we had a definite role to fulfill and that remain the mission. Manufacturing locations engulfing the various pharmaceutical hubs also helped obviate the physical barriers of distance and contributed to the ever increasing asset base of the organization.

Redefining Milestones
I find it important to define the short, medium and long term deliverables, periodically review, assess, initiate action wherever necessary and move ahead. Employees in my organization are family members sharing common visions, values and dreams. One must allow them the elbow space to exceed expectations in addition to creating a conducive atmosphere which provides them with the real playing field to flourish. My job is to continuously interact, motivate, identify and resolve their professional constraints.

Instrument of Happiness
One must live in the shoes of the not so privileged ones, to empathize with their lives and strive to improve the same. With this belief the Sudip Dutta Foundation is dedicated to the mission of improving the overall quality of life of the under privileged. Additionally, I want more and more people to participate in my enterprise, come aboard the journey enjoy and reap the benefits.
